Scottie Scheffler reveals at the PGA Tour player advisory council is still in talks to change up the format of the Tour Championship at the end of the 2025 PGA Tour Season. This comes after the criticism that the current scoring format lacks a season long feel, as well as poor TV ratings during the 2024 event.

Callaway golf is officially partnered with John Ron and his LIV Golf team Legion XIII as their equipment sponsor for the 2025 season. Callaway released a statement saying they’re committed to being an equipment leader wherever top players are competing, which could indicate future signings of other players or teams on the tour.

Tiger Woods revealed that he will likely not compete in any PGA Tour event before The Masters in April as his heart is not into practicing golf following the loss of his mother. The last time we saw woods compete was at the TGL Match against Atlanta Drive last week, which ended in a 9 - 1 blowout for Atlanta.

Brooks Koepka is reportedly interested in returning to the PGA Tour following the end of his LIV Golf contract at the end of the year. This is all according to Fred Couples as they apparently have a close relationship. Whether this change will happen for the five time major champion is yet to be seen.

Kevin Hammer has been announced as President elect of the USGA following their annual meeting at Pinehurst last week. Hammer is set to take up the role of the organization in 2026 and will follow the controversial golf ball rollback regulation change.

Bryson Dehambeau squashed the rumors that he might be leaving LIV Golf in favor of the PGA Tour when his contract ends at the end of this year, saying that he’s excited about the future of LIV Golf and the Crushers GC team. While he doesn’t explicitly say that he’s staying with the breakaway tour, we can reasonably assume he will not rejoin the PGA Tour for the time being.

Phil Mickelson responded to Fred Couples comments about Brooks Koepka leaving LIV Golf for the PGA Tour. The six time major champion called this a low class jerk move to reveal this information regardless of whether it was true or not.

Jason Day been spotted testing a new never before seen zero-torque putter from Taylormade at the Arnold Palmer Invitational called the Taylormade Spider 5K-ZT. This marks yet another OEM to get on the zero-torque train following the rise to fame of the L.A.B. putters.
