In just 13 days, we’ve already seen equipment announcements from some of the biggest names in the business and an entirely new format for the game become the hot new trend. Not to mention, we’ve seen YouTube golfers cement their place in the golf industry and becoming more than just influencers.
Given the chaos of the last few years for the game, it’s undeniable that we are in the midst of one of the most positive starts to a season in a long time.

The debut of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL indoor golf league drew nearly 1 million viewers, showcasing an innovative blend of golf and entertainment. Its viewership outpaced several NBA and NHL games that day, signaling strong interest in the league to start out 2025.

Taylormade Golf has introduced their new Qi35 drivers for 2025, featuring a new weighting system for a lower CG and more forgiveness & distance across the face along with the first ever launch monitor enabled driver for easier fitting. Some believe that the new driver simply fixes the issues found in the Qi10, but others are claiming this is a big leap forward for the brand.
Don’t like the carbon-like design of the Qi35 driver head? Rick Shiels revealed in his latest review that the brand will be releasing a full glossy black version of the head later this year.
Scottie Scheffler has withdrawn from The American Express after undergoing surgery on his right hand to remove broken glass from the area. His recovery timeline was initially quoted at four weeks, which would put him in the back-half of his recovery time. This would make a return to the PGA Tour more likely to happen during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The PGA Tour has announced a new Creator Tour Series following the success of the 2024 Creator Classic at East Lake featuring all of your favorite YouTube golf creators. The YouTube golfers will compete in nine hole stroke play events at The Players, Truist Championship, & Tour Championship on the Wednesday before professional play.
You’ll be able to stream the event on YouTube, ESPN+, PGA Tour Fast Channels as well as NBC streaming platforms.
Hot off the trail of Grant Horvat’s announcement, the Bryan Bros revealed that they have also taken the next step in their relationship with Takomo Golf. Although all three will be equity owners in the company, apart from irons and wedges, they will continue to play with their current equipment sponsors in other aspects of the bag.
